Programs

City-Wide Registration Information

To participate in any city-wide community association program, the following basic conditions apply:

  • A community association membership is required from your local community association. The fee is $10 per family per year. Memberships may be purchased through our membership co-coordinator or on registration night which is held twice a year. Community association memberships are non-refundable.
  • Registration for programs is received on a first come, first served basis. A minimum registration is required for each class to run.
  • Registrations will not be accepted by phone before registration night. If you are unable to attend the night of registration, ask a neighbour to register for you.
  • Registration forms for programs you wish to take that are offered through another community association are to be filled out at the PVCA registration night without payment. You will be contacted by the specific community association offering the class only if there are spaces available at which time payment arrangements will be made. Priority is given to the local residents of a community association before spaces for programs are filled from other community associations.

For children 6 to 11. Get a jump start on the flag football season with conditioning work and specific drills. Pass, catch, pull flags, and have fun!

Winter 2019 Programs EXTENDED Into Spring

IMPORTANT NOTE:  If you are already attending a class that you wish to continue on with into the spring, please sign up directly with your instructor at one of your remaining sessions.  If you are signing up for the first time, please use our online form found here.

All classes are held in the McLurg School Main Gym.

Kids Flag Football Skills and Conditioning*
Sundays – April 7, 14, 28, and May 5 – Time 3:00 – 4:00pm – $20 for 4 Classes
For children 6 to 11. Get a jump start on the flag football season with conditioning work and specific drills. Pass, catch, pull flags, and have fun!

*This is an extension of the Winter class, keeping that same start time and is entirely separate from the Spring session.

Abs, Arms, & Butt Toning Instructor: Lee
Sundays – Mar 31 to May 26 (excl. Apr 21) – Time 7:15-8:15pm – $40 (8 extra classes)
Using various weights and your enthusiasm, we will strengthen and tone your abs, arms, and butt. Mats are not mandatory but if you require one please bring your own.

Cross Train Fitness with Kyla
Mondays – Apr 1 to Jun 3 (excl. Apr 22) – Time 6:30-7:30pm – $40 (8 extra classes)
This class includes the perfect combination of heart pumping cardio and strength training.  By changing the equipment and format each week, it will increase calorie burn and enable a total body workout.  This class is for all fitness levels and will be modified to fit everyone’s needs.  A great class for men, too!

HIIT and Build    Instructor:  Lee
Wednesdays – Apr 3 to May 29 (excl. Apr 24) – Time 7:15-8:15pm – $40 (8 extra classes)
High Intensity Interval Training will combine high intensity exercise (designed so everyone can participate regardless of fitness level) with body building principles.  Maximize your workout and time in the gym!

Zumba with Kerri
Thursdays – Apr 11 to May 16 (excl. Apr 25) – Time 6:15-7:15pm – $22 (5 extra classes)
Dance cardio at its finest.  Zoom off those extra calories.  Low impact fitness to great music.  You won’t believe how fast the hour flies by!

18 weeks of instruction, $216/person or $390/family
Interested in having fun and learning self defense? Curious about martial arts? Improve your self-confidence and get into better physical shape while learning Karate. No experience is necessary.

Fridays – Jan 18 to Mar 29 (excl. Feb 22) – Time 6:00-7:00pm – $50

A multi-level yoga class, focusing on alignment and breath. Some components of Vinyasa flow style yoga will be incorporated into class. Please bring your own mat.

For children 5 to 9. This class is intended to get kids an extra hour of gym time each week. We will play different games, run, sweat, and have fun!
