City of Regina Survey Concerning Smoking in Public Spaces

The City of Regina is considering making more public spaces smoke-free and it wants to know what you think about the idea.

You can participate in the on-line survey, send an email or attend one of two Open Houses this week.

This is your chance to be heard on a health issue that affects you and your family.  We hope you’ll participate because it’s estimated that smoking is responsible for 30% of all cancer deaths in Canada and is related to more than 85% of lung cancer cases. Second-hand smoke has the same chemicals in it as the tobacco smoke breathed in by a smoker. So if you’re near someone who’s smoking, you and everyone else around you is smoking too.

We hope you’ll participate in this important consultation.
